     Jenae Johnson was my real estate agent in March of 2008.  She helped me find a 1031 replacement property promptly which enabled me to meet my deadline. I had been searching diligently for about two months and was about to close on a property that was beyond my means when Jenae came up with the right answer.

     Whether it was a "fluke" or not, we quickly closed on the newfound property. A vacant parcel in a gated 20 acre plot size horse community, I am now in the throws of installing the infrastructure to make it work.  My daughter, an architect, will design a house for the 360 degree view building site.  We have nice neighbors, but not too close.  I am generally well pleased with a property that has helped me to avoid paying big taxes even though it may prove to be a speculation.  Meanwhile, I think it will prove to be safe estate planning and a good place to park cash during our precarious war with energy and inflation.
